A global data & IS technology business seek a Pricing Director / Head of Pricing & Bids to take ownership of strategic, operational and divisional leadership for their UK&I B2B (c.£450m rev p/a) pricing & bids function.
Salary:
c.£120000-£150000 (Neg DOE) + % Bonus + Benefits

Job Description
As an established, yet ever-expanding global market leader in B2B & B2C data and related technology service platforms this business is in the process of operational excellence transformation across their UK&I Commercial functions.
The UK&I B2B product streams account for c.£450m+ p/a revenue across multiple data/information services/related technology provisions to all corners of private and public sector customer verticals. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Pricing / Pricing Director to take up a leadership role to drive strategic and operational delivery enhancement.
The Head of Pricing & Bids (UK&I B2B) will inherit an experienced team of senior pricing/bids professionals and will spearhead the division becoming a commercial center of excellence, accelerating bid win rate, revenue and profit margin growth. This will be achieved through leading enhanced operational and strategic delivery including:
Driving value-based pricing proposition development
Transitioning the pricing team's positioning from being primarily ‘tactical’ to ‘strategic advisors’
Development and roll-out of streamlined/simplified/digital/automated pricing models and process tools for suitable product/service lines
Maintaining tailored and bespoke involvement in high value, strategic and complex enterprise deal pricing, bid & proposals
Bid management process transformation/enrichment
The Head of Pricing & Bids UK&I will be a senior leader shaping the division and its delivery but also still 'operational' and 'hands-on’, personally involved in strategic/complex deal activity as either an escalation point for the team or senior lead for the business in high value or key business propositions.
Experience and expertise required for Head of Pricing & Bids UK&I application:
An experienced Head of Pricing / Pricing Director in B2B technology service sector environments (IT/Data/Information Services/SaaS/Telco etc.)
Accomplished pricing team/division management, motivation and leadership
Proven experience of operating at senior leadership level; influencing and working cross-functionally (Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, IT, Commercial & Legal +) with the ability to communicate, gain credibility and install confidence
Demonstrable delivery of dual operational and strategic pricing/bid process improvements across multiple B2B service/product stream types, returning efficiency, revenue, and profit margin growth:
Enhancement of strategic value-based pricing approach and bid win
Developing andardised/simplified pricing processes including digital automation, subscription, licensing and bundling models for suitable product streams
Agility to direct a team and personally work quickly and accurately, often to tight deadlines set by customers while ensuring transformation projects move forward at pace
Direct customer/client interface, supporting bid/proposal/negotiation activity an advantage
High degree of business acumen; understands the balance between key business, financial, commercial drivers
