This Commercial & Legal Contracts Coordinator role is an opportunity for a junior/developing legal graduate (c. 0.5-2 years post-grad experience / LLB, GDL, LLM, LPC, Cilex all welcome) to take up position within an established wider commercial & legal (CCM) team for a truly innovative £75m+ t/o, highly profitable and continually expanding technology & engineering business group.
Salary - c.£28000 - £35000 (DOE) + benefits & defined career progression path

Location - Hybrid WFH + 2 days per week in Crawley/Gatwick area office

As part of the centralised and group-wide commercial & legal contracts team, the Commercial Contracts Coordinator will work alongside other CCC’s, CCM’s and report to the Head of CCM. This role will assist in ensuring the business’s contractual engagements are compliant, risk mitigated, commercially agreeable and where possible advantageous to the business across all areas of the group's activities.
You will develop to lead full contracts T&C’s analysis, negotiation and drafting across the business’ technology networks (hardware, software and SaaS) design, build, engineering installation and asset management (sales & supply side contracts).
Entering the business as a Commercial Contracts Coordinator, this role will be given a clear and defined career progression path, training/support and development opportunity to become a Commercial & Legal Contracts Manager (CCM) within the business.
A fast-paced and varied role and career path which will be involved in contracts (customer sales/renewal and supplier/vendor, NDA’s, Teaming/Partner and MOU’s) T&C's analysis, review, coordination and wider commercial administrative duties.
Core workload engagement & focus:
B2B legal contract arrangements - contract T&C's analysis, review, drafting and negotiation at bid/tender/proposal, execution, in-life and renewal stages (sales and supplier sides).
Ensuring legal compliance, risk mitigation, SLA adherence, deal success and, where possible, commercial advantage is achieved
Engagement with internal CCM division, General Counsel and all other commercial & technical departments
Advising Sales, Business Development, Procurement, Exec leadership and wider technical engineering teams on all commercial and contractual issues/solutions
Assist in the refinement and development of commercial & contractual templates, playbooks, tools and processes
Wider business commercial administration, including sales order processing, SLA management and other ancillary work.
Key experience & qualifications required for Commercial Contracts Coordinator application:
A demonstrable interest to develop a career path in in-house legal contracts specialism, as opposed to other legal career path routes
Legal education degree level foundation – LLB, LLM, LPC, Cilex or similar (other non-legal degree, and proven hands-on legal skill set of B2B contractual T&C review and drafting also considered)
Core understanding or experience of the more commercial approach to B2B contractual review and drafting
Excellent attention to detail with ability to review B2B T&C’s to ensure contracts and wider commercial legal doc's (such as NDA's, MOU's, tenders, sales & supply contracts & partner/licencing agreements etc) are legally compliant, risk mitigated, mutually agreeable and where possible commercially advantageous.
Able to demonstrate good wider ‘commercial business’ awareness and the basic application of contract law within.
First-class written and verbal communication skills able to (with training and support) directly converse and advise on commercial & contractual issues across stakeholder groups.
Adaptable and willing to engage in wider commercial administration and project work.
Agile approach - able to balance competing demands in a high-volume, fast-paced and growing business environment
Analytical and inquisitive - willing to fully engage in the business’s technical sector, product/service specifics and stakeholder groups
Stakeholder focused – able to communicate and build rapport with sales and technical stakeholder groups alike, internal and external (up to C-suite).
